How is dropshipping different from affiliate marketing? Which has better future prospects?

There is a big difference between dropshipping and affiliate marketing.

Affiliate: In Affiliate marketing, you have to promote others’ products. Just you derive the customers to their(affiliate partner) Website. When someone purchases a product through your link, you will get a certain amount of commission depending on the products. You need not handle customer, products, inventory, shipping, returning etc. All of these will be carried by them. In this case the big challenge to you will be deriving the traffics. For this there are two methods to gain customers 1. Paid( advertising), and 2. Organic( doing SEO). But in paid method it is very difficult to gain profit. On the other hand Organic method requires good skills in SEO to rank your content. Also it is time taking depending on keyword length and difficulty.

Dropshipping: Dropshipping is selling products keeping some margin after purchasing it from the suppliers. In this case you can earnprofit as per your choice depending on the product’s price and quality. In dropshipping business you can be successful in less time compared to affiliate marketing. But here you need to manage products, suppliers, customers, Website etc. You need to be very cautious about the product quality. Because the return rate will be high in case of poor quality products. Another big challenge in this case is you have to gain skills over the ads campaign. Without mastery in ads campaigns you can not be successfull.
